Self Reflection

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.

Find the one that makes your heart smile. There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
I AND MY NEW DAY

The sun has begun to set and I hang up the smile I've worn all day. Though I will make sure it is the first thing I put back on in the morning because just in case it is 'that day,' I want her to see me at my very best.

I do the normal routine, eat dinner, clean the house, write -- the usual stuff.

And then I lay down hoping to fall asleep quickly so my new day will hurry up and arrive. A new day with a brand new sun.

But as I lay there and wait for the world to turn half way around, I think about her. And sometimes I smile, and sometimes that smile will turn into a snicker, and then often that snicker will turn into a burst of laughter.

And then there are times I get that lump in my throat and that tight feeling in my chest, and sometimes that feeling overwhelms me and begins to turn into a tear, and often that tear multiplies itself and I can no longer fight the feeling and I lose the battle. .

When I awake it's with such excitement! Because I tell myself this could be the day that every other day has led up to and the first day of the rest of my life. I quickly dawn my smile, because I do so want her to see me at my very best. Then I look out the window even though I know it's dawn, but I still have to confirm I've been given another chance to find her.

And there it is ... the sun, even when it's cloudy; somehow I still see it. And it smiles at me and I say "thank you" and I smile back.

Then I ask myself, "Is this the day?" And the excitement rushes over me again. And then I ask myself, "Where's it going to be?"

Maybe it'll be at the water fountain and unexpectedly there I'll find myself and much more than my thirst will be quenched
Maybe it'll be at the grocery store, and there i appear as I'm picking out fruit and i show me the difference between fresh and spoiled. Then from that moment, nothing that I will eat will ever taste the same. Because i bring out the simplest beauties in everything I see, taste, smell, hear, or touch.

Or maybe today will be the day when my hope brings an item up to the cash register without its price tag. And as I wait behind this hope with all the frustrated people who are in such a hurry about their busy lives, I will find myself with such blessed extra time. Just enough time to start a conversation with this beautiful vision standing behind me that I might not otherwise would have noticed..

So will today be the day I say, "THANK YOU GOD!" Thank you for the sun, which began my new day. Thank you for granting me the faith when I arose this morning that I would find me in this new day. But most of all, thank you for me not having to ever wait on another sunrise. Because whenever I want to see it, I will look at myself and there it shall always be, in my eyes, i will forever hold it for me.

i m my sunrise, my dawn, my new day.

my sweet grandma

.
My grandmother was from a town in the Gulbarga area of Karnataka. And summer after summer I enjoyed staying with my grandparents as a young child, I was from the City and loved the small town they lived in. People knew everyone, their kids, their pets, their ancestors. The bond with them continued to grow as I grew and they got older.
Grandma was always using her hands for something exciting...she would make little sandwiches and we'd have tea parties, plant flowers and carefully tend them. She'd knit dress for her grandchildren as well as making beautiful quilts for each one. I remember the small thimble she would use while doing her needle work. Placing her thimble on her finger she'd remark....I wouldn't want to sew without one.
A few years ago when Grandma left this earth for her new residence in Heaven, I bid farewell to a loving Grandmother... How quickly our lives can change. We had just had tea together a couple of months earlier, on her 91st birthday. I missed her very much, but I noticed it mostly on my birthdays, because there was no card from Grandma. She'd never forgotten my birthday!
On one particular birthday when I was feeling a little low and a lot older. Something happened to make me feel like she was sharing that special day with me. I was arranging some colorful pillows that she had made, and suddenly I felt something inside one pillow, it was small and hard. I moved the object to a seam that I carefully opened, and to my delight out came a tiny silver thimble!
How happy I was to find something that had been a part of her. Not realizing it had fallen off her finger, I pictured her sewing it in that little pillow that I just happened to fluff, to place on my bedspread that day. I carefully laid the thimble along side the others I've collected over the years, where I could continue to see the gift God chose to reveal to me. What a precious memory of a very special lady who somehow, I knew, was laughing in delight at sewing her thimble inside my pillow. I heated the tea kettle and made some tea, using my best china, as Grandma always did, and enjoyed my tea and Grandma's thimble. What a wonderful birthday that was!

HUMAN LIFE IS VALUABLE

Hello friends, here I will ask you all a question. If given a chance to you all will you all help others or you think for you, if given a chance you would spend your money on your own sweets and dresses or would use it for some good cause.

Ok here I will tell a story, once there lived a family in a small town and which was the best for itself , they had lots off money , they were the second richest in this city, they had 2 children by name Ravi , and Raj both  completed there primary school and stepped into higher primary .
But in due time both developed different option , Ravi begin elder was having too harsh nature where as raj was soft by nature , once it happened that Ravi and raj went to a mall with there parents and Ravi purchased too costly materials , dresses , toys etc.

Where as raj brought just a small story book and remaining left to the parents his this nature was seen by his mother and next day there mother gave some sweets to both and tasting them Ravi troughed off telling that it never taste good, but his mother brought it from best sweet seller, so in this way Ravi had turned too rude, he has developed this nature of indulging sensual pleasures and luxurious life. When ever his little brother asked his elder brother Ravi used to tell one does not get born as human very often. So one should pursue material comforts and sensual pleasures one should enjoy life to the fullest.
Raj was sensible and decent boy he was concerned about the improper and wild activities of his elder brother Ravi, he was pained by his disposition. Whenever he had an opportunity he would try to counsel Ravi but it was off no use. Ravi did not understand. When Ravi was intoxicated he could not discriminate between rights and wrong, he would mistreat his servents in home. one day just by chance Ravi was extremely pleased by some action of raj as a reward Ravi gave raj a beautiful remote car soon after leaving the room raj pressed the buttons so harshly that it broke and he thrower it Ravi saw that activity and asked how could you do this I gave you the most expensive car toy with due respect raj replied I only followed what you have taught me,
Ravi in anger I taught you to show disrespect? how dent talk nonsense so raj tells mother says we all have been blessed with human life that is considerably more valuable than this toy however the way you are wasting away your time in pursuit of creature comforts without any regard to decency and morality has taught me to misuse the toy raj hit the target Ravi realized his mistake his life was changed for good and noble cause his later came first in studies.

Only thing we get to know is that human life is valuable one should not waste it for material pleasures and luxuries.

Secret Of Joy And Happiness

It was 10 p.m and Raj’s mother asked him to go to bed …..,
But before going to bed Raj went straight to his granny room for him it was story time.

Granny took raj in her comfortable warm bed and asked him what he wanted, with a smile on her face……… raj said its my time so you tell story……….

“So his grandma started telling a story “…………………

In a village there lived two good friends by name Radha and Rashmi. Rashmi was
from very good and rich family and Radha was from very good and poor family. As time passed they grew and got married in different families, because of the financial status they married in same status family….

Rashmi led a very good life after marriage as days passed she grew old lost her husband and children got settled in cities ………

Radha also led a good life but as days passed even she lost her husband and she never had children mover over poverty she had a spin wheel……. Which used to ear for her daily bread butter….

Radha was a very spiritual lady, every day before starting her work at the spin-wheel she said prayers raj said just like papa so granny said YES and now listen carefully, every story teaches us something

One day she read her prayer which exhorted the work of mercy and she took it to heart “after reading my good GOD” how can I do well to others? I have nothing but my spin-wheel, which earns hardly my daily bread, winter is fast approaching and the cold here in room freeze my fingers. so that I can hardly spin. I have not paid rent and I have to beg myself.

For whole day and night she kept on thinking on this matter and next day morning she thought still there is something she can do…. She remembered then that her friend rashmi was very sick in bed..

I’ll visit her today, “She said to herself …….I can spin in her house and I shall certainly have chance of giving her some comfort ……. So she searched for some money.  Found them, she brought bread and there where 3 apples in the kitchen which someone gave her…… she went on her way to meet her friend when radha’s sick friend rashmi saw her she was overcome with joy…… “My dear Radha she said “I have recently inherited small fortune would you like to stay here and nurse me? You would save the money that you pay in rent and with your spinning and in my small inherit, we could live without any worries ……

“Radha taught is this what GOD is helping me…….. and remembered her prayers….. with a smile on her face radha accept the offer very willingly and that
Same day she moved to her friends house , where for the first time after so long she was able to spend a restful night no worries……..

“Here raj asked what this story tells us…… his granny said dear both found joy and happiness in helping each other…

See radha had nothing but still she found some apple and bread to give rashmi as she was not well in same time rashmi asked radha to stay with her so that both of there problem got solved so both where happy.

“IF YOU WISH TO LEARN THE SECERT OF JOY AND HAPPINESS JUST GIVE TO THE LESS FORTUNATE SOME FOOD OR ALMS OR DRESS….SO RAJ ASKED JUST LIKE YOU GIVE FOOD TO BEGGERS STTING OUTSIDE TEMPLE?

SO GRANNY SAID YES DEAR……. Now go to your bed and sleep goodnight!

Shay”S LIFE

Hello, this is how I write. Hope u like it

I encourage each of you to find ways to help out your fellow man. When we help each other we strengthen the whole. We are all family sharing this space on the planet earth. We should strive to work as a cohesive unit which has compassion for all its members.

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question:

"When not interfered with outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet Shamu’s son Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?"

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and comes, in the way other people treat that child." Then he told the following story:

Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, "Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play,
not expecting much. The boy looked around for guidance and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning, I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him to bat in the ninth inning."

Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play, not expecting much. The boy looked around for guidance and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning, I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him to bat in the ninth inning."

Shay struggled over to the team's bench, put on a team shirt with a broad smile and his Father had a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the field, grinning from ear to ear

as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing the other team putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least be able to make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over, but the pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the head of the first baseman, out of the reach of all the teammates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, "Shay, run to first!" Never in his life had Shay ever ran that far but made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to second base. By this time Shay rounded towards second base. The right fielder had the ball. The smallest guy on their team had a chance to be the hero for his team for the first time in his life. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions and he too intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay"

Shay reached third base, the opposing shortstop ran to help him and turned him the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third! Shay, run to third”. As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams and those watching were on their feet screaming, "Shay, run home! Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and cheered as the hero who hit the "grand slam" and won the game for his team.

That day, said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world. Shay didn't make it another summer and died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his Father so happy and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!
